High Growth Programme

The new WDA High Growth Programme will provide up to £15 million worth of extra support for new companies in Wales with outstanding prospects. The Programme, which is delivered by Entrepreneur Action, aims to identify and provide intensive, fast-track support worth up to £40,000 to more than 200 new businesses which are considered capable of achieving over £1 million turnover in their first three years. The HGP is managed by the Welsh Development Agency with funding from the Welsh Assembly Government and from EU structural funds provided by the Assembly Government’s  Wales European Funding Office (WEFO).

Andrew Davies, Minister for Economic Development and Transport, said: “This initiative is an important addition to the existing range of business support and will provide extra resources and flexibility for tailored help to ventures with exceptional potential. We believe it will make a real difference to the new businesses taking part and to the Welsh economy as a whole.”
