Technium CAST (Centre for Advanced Software Technology) focuses on exploiting the commercial potential of high performance distributed computing, particularly as the market for collaborative GRID software grows.

The 6,500 sq m facility located at Bangor’s Parc Menai offers businesses a number of sophisticated opportunities.  Technium CAST's dedicated R&D team can collaborate with companies to develop their new, commercially viable projects using Technium CAST's state-of-the-art laboratories.  Indeed, the short-term managed technical space provided by Technium CAST's software hotel adds an additional dimension, allowing companies to evaluate new technologies, or showcase their own, for instance.  Incubation space is also available to young technology businesses.

Technium CAST is also home to a 3D visualisation suite (as of September 2006), a high capacity broadband link to enable globally-based development teams to collaborate on projects.

Technium CAST will also become the hub of north Wales’ growing technology industry.
