Hydrogen Valley (H2V) ‘The Welsh Journey to hydrogen fuelled environmentally sustainable transportation and commerce’ The Hydrogen Valley initiative was conceived by a group of organisations developing different technologies, but all focused on alternative fuels and power trains. This group has grown and now forms one of the cluster networks underneath the WDA, WAG and European Funded, Accelerate Clusters Programme. The groups vision for the future is: To achieve a zero emission energy based economy supported by sustainable business communities through the exploitation of leading edge technologies and stimulation of emerging niche markets. Accelerate Clusters is a 3 year EU Objective 1 funded programme focusing on emerging technologies and high growth niche markets. The prime purpose of the programme is to improve the medium and long term performance of Welsh automotive business through the development of a dedicated support infrastructure with each cluster being led by a specialist manager. Accelerate Clusters will support the sector as a whole by creating a pan Wales network that will encourage exchange of information and knowledge sharing as well as greater information on local technology supplier opportunities.
