Welsh Producers To Make Screen Debut On St Davids Day

Some of Wales’s best known food producers are preparing to make their small screen debuts in a special St David’s Day edition of the True Taste of Wales Show on UK TV shopping channel QVC.
 
The March 1st show will feature a range of Welsh produce including meat, cheese, cakes and pies, but it will be the first time the producers themselves will have taken part.
 
Four Welsh companies: Welsh Farm Organics, Clams Cakes, Cheeses From Wales, and Harvies Pies will be featured in the live hour long show which will air at 12noon, and will be hosted by QVC presenter Anthony Heywood.
 
The producers underwent a screen test and have been given training. Facing a live audience is an exciting prospect says Jonathan Rees of Welsh Farm Organics.
 
“It is a fantastic opportunity to be able to personalise our products for the viewers. QVC customers will see that the meat goes straight from our farm to their doorsteps, and what better day to show it than on St David’s Day.”
 
Jonathan will be making his television debut along with Carol Harvie of Harvies Pies, Carwyn Adams of Caws Cenarth who will be representing Cheeses From Wales, and Jane Philips of Clams Cakes.
