Welsh producers will be cooking up a television treat when they step in front of the camera for the latest ‘True Taste of Wales’ show on UK TV shopping channel, QVC (July 24th).
The programme - the seventh in the series of ‘True Taste of Wales’ shows - will be broadcast to coincide with the final day of the Royal Welsh Show (July 21-24).
Four producers will take part in the programme with QVC presenter Debbie Greenwood talking about their products- Welsh Farm Organics, Harvies Pies, Cheeses From Wales, and Clams Cakes.
This will be the second time the producers themselves have been on screen, and two - Welsh Farm Organics and Harvies Pies - will go a step further by cooking their products on the live programme to an audience potentially large enough to fill the Millennium Stadium.
Since November 2006 six ‘True Taste of Wales’ shows have been broadcast live on the channel and have previously been aired to fit in with events in the Welsh culinary calendar - the True Taste Wales Food & Drink Awards (November), St David’s Day (March), and the Royal Welsh Show (July).
The project, which is a partnership between the Welsh Assembly Government and the TV shopping company QVC, has enabled some of Wales’s best known producers to introduce their products to a new audience.
The ‘True Taste of Wales’ show can be seen on QVC on July 24th at 2pm.
