South Caernarfon Creameries Ltd is a farmer/shareholder co-operative, established in 1938 with members throughout North and Mid Wales. The company is involved in two aspects of dairy manufacturing, milk and cheese. Over the years SCC has undergone tremendous change with substantial investments in modernisation of equipment and processes.

Type of Cheese
'Old Shire' - Special Reserve Cheddar and Extra Mature Cheddar. Traditionally hand waxed to retain freshness. Its distinctive appearance, bright green wax and delicious flavour ensure very strong deli counter and consumer appeal. 'Monterey Jack' - a very special young cheese, with a slightly higher moisture content which makes it perfect for pizza topping, pasta dishes and any Mexican dishes. Caws Llyn - specially matured to achieve a traditional, full flavoured cheese with a firm texture. Red Leicester - Leicester traditionally has a faint lemony bite, and grainy texture. Its colour can only be described as bright orange. An ideal melting cheese when used in cooking. Double Gloucester - This cheese has a strong mellow flavour and its texture is slightly waxy. Its colour as subtle shade of orange. Is is claimed that their Double Gloucester also makes the best cheese and pickle sandwich filling!
