The Vishay Siliconix Power MOS and Linear IC Design Centre provide Vishay with an additional source of Analogue and Power Integrated Circuit design expertise, which is used to drive further product developments for it’s IC and Power MOSFET product lines. To date IC products have been successfully designed for the Automotive, Consumer, Computer and Fixed Telecom markets. Working closely with the international teams at Vishay Siliconix (California), the Design Engineers define new products, carry out initial feasibility studies, and then design and evaluate the integrated circuits. A strong reliance is placed on computer aided simulation and verification of the IC’s. The location at the Digital Technium, provide Vishay Siliconix with a connection to a valuable pool of UWS graduates with highly specialised analogue design skills. The Design Centre is strongly allied with Siliconix Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology Inc, and is a leading manufacturer of power MOSFETs, (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors), power ICs, analog switches, and multiplexers for computers, cell phones, fixed communications networks, automobiles, and other consumer and industrial electronic system.
