SA1 Sourcing
A major supplier initiative has been launched by the Welsh Assembly Government to ensure local businesses benefit from the £200million SA1 Swansea Waterfront development.
Goods and services valued at millions of pounds will be required by developers as construction gets underway on a number of key projects on SA1, opening up significant opportunities.
SA1 Sourcing has been established to maximise the benefits for the local business community by liaising with the individual developers and encouraging them to buy locally.
Business Development Manager Richard Harris said that as construction gained momentum on SA1 a range of new opportunities would be identified.
“SA1 is a major regeneration project set to transform a large area of disused docklands and our main aim is to ensure that the local business community benefits from this programme.
“Initially opportunities will be centred on the construction phase and associated ground works but as the project develops new opportunities will be presented ranging from furnishings and fittings and services.”
