Enfis Ltd is a leader in the design, development and manufacture of intelligent high power Light Emitting Diode (LED) light source systems.  The company’s product lines combine the numerous advantages of LEDs as a light source with our patent-pending thermal management technology for use in a number of challenging hi-growth applications.  Our innovative LED power-package technologies are integrated into systems to deliver light where it’s needed in a reliable and controllable manner.

Enfis currently operated in four principal lines of business:  Medical Systems, including skin-treatment devices, Industrial Systems, Consumer Home-based Systems, including home healthcare devices and LED Illuminator Modules.  Enfis’ investment in research and development is reflected by its intellectual property portfolio, which comprises more than 10 patents pending.  Enfis’ intellectual property applies to many aspects of LED systems technology, ranging from methods of skin treatment using LEDs to novel optical and thermal management technologies.

Enfis was founded in 2001 as a spin-out from Swansea University, which has a long history of innovation in the handling of power devices and the thermal management aspects of such devices.

Enfis is headquartered in the UK and is funded predominantly by the venture capital company Wesley Clover Corporation, chaired by sir Terry Matthews, founder of Mitel and Newbridge Networks.

Enfis is committed to all aspects of Quality Management and achieved ISO9001 accreditation in 2004.  In addition, Enfis achieved the medical device QMS accreditation of ISO13485:2003 also during 2004.
