The 2007/08 competition attracted entries from 20 companies. Sponsors included Boots Centre for Innovation, Business in Focus, Capital Law, Grey Matter, Eversheds, Haseltine Lake, University of Wales Newport, SONY UK Technology Centre, Finance Wales and xenos.

Yamgo - Winner
Yamgo is a Live Free-to-View Mobile TV Network that enables the consumer to upload and share video clips with friends using SMS and watching TV chanels on a mobile phone anywhere, anytime.

Oncomorph Analysis - Runner-up
Oncomorph Analysis (a spin out from Aberystwyth University) will develop and commercialise a novel medical imaging software for diagnostic screening of prostate cancer.
Aeristech - Runner-up
Aeristech owns a patented CO2 reduction technology for motor vehicles. Aeristech's Hybrid Turbocharger Technology (HTT) improves the efficiency of vehnicle engines while offering such robust handling characteristics that it is also an enabling technology for engine downsizing. This means that vehicles using the HTT system will provide better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions without a loss of performance.
