Movie Mogul is an internet based film funding company that uses membership fees to create micro-production budgets for short and feature-length independent films. Members purchase voting points when they register for the competition and the film project with the most votes at the end of each competition obtains the funds. The short film fund is capped at £10,000 and the feature fund at £100,000. Members backing the winning films obtain a range of benefits including their name on the credits. Targeted at film lovers, Movie Mogul is the world's first online movie community and has been devised, formed and managed by filmmaker and part-time media trainer John Shackleton.
