The Competition Programme

All companies applying must begin by completing and returning the Application Form.

The competition is operated in four stages:-

STAGE 1 - Entry

Competition entrants should register their interest by completing a brief application form.   This can be downloaded from this page or is available on request via e-mail: enquiries@technium.co.uk.

Upon receipt of applicants entrants will be contacted to verify eligibility.  The deadline for submission of applications is XX March 2009*.

* Please note that the earlier applications are made, the more time entrants will have to make best use of the support available for developing a business plan.

STAGE 2 - Development of Business Plan

Entrants will be asked to prepare business plans ready for submission to the judges.  The format of the business plan is left to the discretion of the entrants but should be as succinct and clear as possible.  Free advice and support from a range of professional firms will be on offer throughout the competition, both on request and via the organised events programme.

The deadline for sumission of the full final business plan is XX March 2009.

STAGE 3 - Shortlisting of Finalists

A preliminary judging panel will independently assess the entries prior to meeting to agree a shortlist of 6-8 entries to go forward to the final stage.

STAGE 4 - Final Judging & Presentations

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to make a brief presentation to the final judging panel as part of this final decision making process.  It is likely that this will take place week commencing XX May 2009.

Awards Ceremony

The winner and runners-up will be announced at the Technium Awards ceremony to be held in Wales on XX May 2009.  All entrants will be invited to attend this dinner to network and celebrate their participation.
