Welcome To Imperial House

Imperial House is the winner of a design-based competition where the client brief called for a building which projected a progressive appearance and, as the first building of a larger science park development, sets high standards of design and detailing.

A high degree of spatial and service flexibility is reflected in the design solution, based around a fully managed conference core. Public spaces within the building are designed not only for circulation but also as meeting points. Externally, the design reflects the nature of the internal function, based upon the classical section, secure ground storey and lighter first floor with the internal street expressed as the attic.

This striking building, comprising a total of circa 3530m² (38000 ft²) of lettable floorspace, has been designed to accommodate a mix of embryonic and small high technology businesses with laboratory, advanced computer or communication requirements. Current tenant activities include drug discovery, software and telecommunication development.

Accommodation is available on the ground and first floors, or in the basement area, which provides occupiers with ready access to the service areas. Individual suites comprise around 56m² (600 ft²) and can be combined to meet individual occupier requirements to a maximum of 223m² (2400 ft²)
